Discussion Topic: Metaphors and Similes

In class, we've been learning about metaphors and similes.  Please give 3 examples each of metaphors and similes that you've heard at home, in every day conversation, or on television or the radio.  Once you've made your comment, read through other students comments and let them know which of theirs is your favorite.

Hello Class! Welcome to Ms. Weems' class blog and thanks for stopping by! We will be using this blog as a tool to discuss a variety of topics in Language Arts. This is a great opportunity for you to think critically, as well as read what your classmate's take on a subject is. Every Thursday you will be presented with a new topic. Your assignment will be to comment on the "discussion topic" blog post, comment on the post, and make a response to another student's original comment.This blog will be open all year long and can continue to be discussed, however, to receive credit for the week you must submit your comment no later than the following Tuesdays at 9 pm.
